A Philosophy
A Way of Being A Practice
E-4 is a new way of engaging in creative efforts connecting a person or organization with a fresh way of being in the flow of the creative or developmental effort that is both delightful and powerful. It is about generating results in the most consistent way possible, and is applicable for all projects. whether they are personal, artistic, organizational, or corporate. E-4 is available through courses, coaching, facilitation, lectures, and essays. The materials will address a variety of audiences including individuals, organizations, students, teachers, and artists.
E-4 defines how the creative endeavor affects future results and a specific practice for maintaining the best possible relationship to the process itself. The practice of E-4 transforms an individual's relationship to their life and work, and for groups enables the emergence and evolution of natural organizational structures. These self-evolving structures improve an organization's ability to maintain traction and effect change.
The name E-4 represents the four core values delivered by the practice:
"Looking over Mary Panttaja's shoulder during development of the E-4 model and methodology, I've been impressed by the freshness, clarity, and comprehensive nature of this approach. The model itself lays a foundation for understanding how creation, innovation, and other types of generative behavior occur. Its translation into procedures and guidelines yields a replicable technology for innovation and creativity that individuals and organizations can learn and apply in a broad range of problem-solving and developmental activities. Watch carefully as E-4 continues to evolve, and get on board as soon as possible if you face challenges to improve innovation, creativity, or agility in organizations or individuals."

“Mary has done a superb job at synthesizing and distilling a broad cross section of cutting-edge practices and theories of creativity into a highly functional and practical model that the world of organizational culture could, in the right context with the right people, make a significant dent in the culture’s overall center of gravity and each individual’s capacity to align with the source of creativity itself in their day to day lives. I look forward to staying tuned to this highly inspiring and much needed work.”
