I just reread your comments. It's so hard to remember moment to moment that the ONLY THING THERE IS is to "stay there always." It's such a challenge not to fuss with it or about it---to just trust it and surrender.

I like that image, Cynthia. "The depth of the engagement" which I think of as the strength of the "catching"---how powerfully you get yourself aligned with the flowing potential. And, as you say, that's all there is. Really. It's funny, but as you go deeper into this, you start to get a feeling that there really isn't anything else we can do---catch it or resist it---and everything else we think we can do is just vaporware, imaginary. Every once and a while I really get sense that the range in which we really have choice is not so wide as we might like to imagine. And those things that we think we choose are really just our destiny (our potential) playing itself out. But we can choose to tinker with and enjoy the playing out, or we can fuss about it. Thanks.

Great post, Mary. I think what we fail to really grasp is that the updraft is all there is! We keep measuring because we think there really is a known end point. Actually, it's all just a process -- we're always verb-ing. I find when I really get that (not in my head but in my organic orientation to life), the catching part is the playful essence of life and satisfaction and joy come from the depth of engagement -- not the output. But oh to stay there always.....
